Monday, 24th of May

They’re slight evidence this morning that the sun actually does exist. Though, it’s warm and humid, at 74 degrees this morning it isn’t very pleasant out.

The 10-day forecast still has us under a threat of precipitation for the next 3 days… At least for now. And the temperatures are projected to rise over the course of the next 10 days. It is definitely feeling more and more like summer.

We made the drive yesterday to Sam’s club in Texas City. And all along the drive the chaste trees were blooming.

Well we’re into the final week of school and getting up early to catch the bus. I look forward to shutting off my alarm for the summer… Or at least, setting it for later in the morning. I’m really not known for being a morning person. I always, as a rule, preferred to stay up later and sleep in longer. Though, for much of my life that has not been a viable option.

Well, enough with the morning muse… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for the nation in the world. For some reason, what divides us is growing in strength while what unites us is declining in value… Not a healthy thing to have in a country or a world.

Enjoy this last week of May, we won’t get another one for 11 months.

  1. I’ve noticed those trees, and didn’t know what they were. It’s a Vitex, from the Mediterranean region. That explains why it thrives so well here.
