December 31, 2020

Once again it’s 70° this morning. It’s very breezy. But the clouds that cover the sky, they are standing still. The chickens around the corner talking as chickens do. And the wind is whistling through the pines.

When I came out this morning, I forgot to bring me a cup of coffee. So, that makes these uses caffeine free. But, with the breeze blowing as strong as it is, the wind chill on this porch is a bit chilly, and I’m really not dressed for it.

My little piece of Texas is still relatively dry. Looking at the radar just now, most of the state is covered with rain. Just to the north of us maybe 10 15 miles, the cold front has arrived. Along with that it’s raining. Get here I sit, fairly comfortable, under threatening clouds, waiting for the weather to turn.

Well this is the last day of the year 2020. I can’t say that I’m sorry to see it go. Hopefully we will have a better time of it in 2021. So let’s all ring out the old year, and ring in the new… Preferably at home and not in a crowd.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our Nation and the world. Wear your damn masks, stay socially distanced, wah your hands… It’s all old by now, bit if everyone did it this would already be pretty much over by now.
