New Years Day 2021

What a difference a year makes… Even when it’s only been a day. I can feel the optimism in the air. The smell of truth is in the air… Well, almost everywhere… I understand that there is an election in Georgia where the truth in advertising has taken a bashing on the right.

My first impression of the day was “winter is coming”. It’s in the low 40’s this morning. Heading into the 60’s by afternoon, they say.

It’s time for me to bust out the crescent rolls and the little smokies for breakfast. Then it’s on to fixin’ the traditional New Years southern meal. Black eye peas, cabbage, and pork with corn bread… Gonna make us healthy, wealthy, and wise. Though, I’m not sure in what order that works.

I hope the New Year brings you peace and happiness… Just don’t drop your guard yet. Stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for us all. Wear your masks, keep your distance, wash your hands. Let’s make 2021 a better year.
