Ahhhhhh, sleeping in on a Saturday. Yesterday’s windy, rainy weather has moved on to the northeast. Delta has churned her/his way onshore and into the interior were it’s still spinning and looking very much like a Hurricane on land.

According to the prognoticaters, this coolish morning will have to last me until the next shot of cool air arrives from it’s northern seclusion. I actually expected it to feel warmer this morning than it does so I turned on the ceiling fans before coming out… 67 is a little cool for ceiling fans.

The winds did play havoc with the dead limbs in the trees out front. You would think that after the winds we’ve had the trees would have shed most of the dead limbs by now… but it never happens. Every strong wind drops a few more.

The birds ate loud this morning. There aren’t many singers, but the ones there are are giving it all they’ve got. A small flight of a dozen or so whistling ducks just took a turn around the house collecting members as they went.

Oh, and look in the image above. The goldenrod is beginning to show a little yellow. In my dries around the area I see a lot of goldenrod in full bloom. Just not the ones on the southwest corner of my porch.

Well it’s time to start thinking about breakfast… y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. And Pray we can Preserve our Democracy in these troubled times of militias and conspiracy theories. Vote.
