We’re in a slow motion countdown to a momentous change in the life of America. Either American norms will win out, or by hook or crook, the most unprepared man ever to be handed the job will be returned to the White House.

Almost two hundred years ago, a group of men came together and wrote a document that formed this great experiment in self governance. While they were the fore thinkers of their time, they all came from a class of people who didn’t think well of their fellow citizens who were not landowners or moneyed merchants and tradesmen. Because of their distrust, we are saddled with the method we elect our President.

Their fear of an anarchy of the majority has, after all these years led to just the opposite, anarchy of the minority. That anarchy has placed two presidents in the people’s house in the last two decades who didn’t have the mandate they claimed, nor the experience they needed.

At least the first was able to fill his administration with men and women of some experience and expertise. While I didn’t agree with the policies they espoused, and the results of their eight years were almost forgone and somewhat to be expected. They didn’t trash American ideals quite like the current occupant.

What does it say about our current President*** that he has never been able to fill his administration with first rate minds? Why, even before 2018 could he not get an agenda through Congress? Why does everything he’s promised exist only as vague hyperbole, not thought through policy plans? Does his lack of the ability to actually plan anything disqualify him from another shot at driving the country over the brink into utter chaos.?

Whatever your thoughts about our two political parties, there should be no question about the men ruining our country… and I say men because the few women on the right don’t seem to get much done.

Rant over.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. I have every intention of casting my vote on Tuesday, our first early voting date here in Texas. Go out and cast your own votes… and if you really feel this country is better than it was four years ago, go ahead and cast your vote for the Trump… I’ll pray for you anyway.
