Another 80 degrees plus start to the day. And the forecasted chance of rain is down to 20%. Though rain clouds are moving in from the gulf, and radar shows some small showers down south of us.

Mainly it’s the high humidity that is making this feel so … Texas. Summertime Texas, not so bad back in the ’50’s and ’60’s, but lordy how the temperatures have climbed over the years.

The pictures I took to record the day are already dated. The thunder clouds have filled the visible sky. So all of the blue above is now gray.

All of the birdsong is coming from the woods this morning. Though, I’ve been visited by chickadees and hummingbirds here on the porch.

Light rain has started to fall. Just a passing shower. Nothing much even showing on the radar. Must not be much more than late morning heavy dew.

It really makes me feel like I’m writing fiction to post these images from 30 minutes ago. The sky has changed so much…

Time to wander in… y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and have a great day. Wear your mask and practice safe distancing.
