Thursday, June twenty-eighth

It’s cool in front of the floor fan, the wind chill effect, on this morning coffee muses.

The first bird on the feeder today was a tufted titmouse. It was followed immediately by a group of chickadees.

There are some nice clouds out over Galveston. Slowly drifting north. Looks like more over Freeport. Also drifting north. The prognosticators have the chance of rain pegged at twenty percent.

There’s a monarch butterfly dancing around the butterfly weed. It’s the first one I’ve seen in weeks.

The news yesterday afternoon was pretty upsetting. Justice Kennedy retiring. After  The republicans stealing a supreme court justice from Obama, I think it’s time to play the republican game. Don’t let Trump fill this one until after the midterm elections. Let the people decide… isn’t that what McConnell said?

Well, the news is full of the retirement. Stories about what it means, how exactly it will effect America for years… hell, decades to come.

As the American people become more progressive, how is it the Supreme Court becomes more conservative? Because, the Supreme Court changes the rules…

It’s important, not just for conservatives… it’s important for America.

I would call my senators and voice my opinion, but, sadly one of them doesn’t answer his phone and the other is just an ass… maybe I’ll call anyway.

I’m done…
