2023 Day 73

Tuesday March 14th

Last Quarter Moon over the Backyard

It’s another beautiful spring morning. There’s a slight breeze from the north blowing this morning. And the temperature is a spring-like 54°.

Yesterday ended up being an absolutely spectacular day for most of the area, except perhaps southwest of Galveston, which hung on to clouds. We maxed out at 71° officially at Bush Airport, making Monday our coolest day since February 18th! Today will be even cooler, as we battle some cloud cover. And we’re still watching a pretty good chance of some very cool air this weekend.

I find myself becoming more reflective as the years go by… I’m spending way more time contemplating the events of my life. Imagining the what could have beens. Recalling the cusps that changed where my life headed. Wondering down divergent trails towards lives not lived…

Trying to recall if I ever thought.. or dreamed.. or imagined that I’d be where I am all those years ago. Thinking back on all of the people in my life.. Friends, acquaintances, loved ones.. the many and varied life experiences from the eclectic to the sublime… the highlights.. the lowlights.. and all of the lights in between of a life lived. The myriad of people I have known amazes me even now.. famous.. not so famous.. just family.. artists.. actors.. musicians.. politicians.. sports figures.. The people I have known.. The people I wished I had known..

Enough introspection for one day, my coffee cup is running empty and my belly is rumbling… Y’all have a great day, and I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
