March 13, Saturday

Once again, it’s overcast and 68°. This has been one of the most overcast winters I can recall. I was reading a post at Space City Weather and they had a piece about how we are so far behind in rain this year. I must admit, for all of the overcast days it really hasn’t rained that much. Hopefully, we’ll see a bit this weekend with the next front.

It’s really not the way you want to come into the summer in Southeast Texas, not dry and baking. Back when we were constructing this house this part of the country was in a drought situation and it was really pretty bad. What I really recall about that year was that it only rained when the framers were on site framing up the house. Days and days of no rain, but let the framers show up and down it would come. It got to the point where they didn’t even try to get out of the rain and they just worked right through it.

I find myself musing without direction this morning. Staring off into space without any real tangible thoughts. My first cup of coffee is empty. So I suppose I should move on and do something different.

So, y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for the nation and the world.

Enjoy your weekend.

  1. At lest you didn’t have your muses on the 610 south loop this a.m. Construction! One lane! 20 minutes to get past 288. Huzzah!

    1. I ran into that before noon on Thursday. I decided to take the loop exit off of 288 heading for Kirby… Bad move. It was a bit quicker than the last time I tried it… But not much… At least I wasn’t late for my appointment.
