24th of January, Sunday

This string of hazy, foggy, overcast and rainy days just doesn’t end. At least the spring like temperatures have stuck around with the clouds.

I will admit that it does make for nice sleeping in weather. Without the brite sun streaming in around the window blinds, another hour in bed is just heavan.

One nice thing this winter, even with the hundreds of black birds eating and foraging thru the yard… They aren’t roosting overnight in my trees and raising that ruckus.

It seems like this is the winter weather pattern I remember growing up with. Not so cold, but dank and dreary. It’s times like this when the flash of red that’s a cardinal on the feeder means so much. When a wren’s song on the back porch is a bright spot in the day’s gloomy length.

Time to throw together breakfast.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our Nation.

Enjoy your day…

    1. I didn’t see but two robins this winter, but then again, since they cleared the woods along the bayou they’ve been scarce around here anyway.

Looking at the 10 day forecast it looks like this pattern will hang around awhile. I only see two days with lows in the 40’s. Most of the “Winter” weather seems to be staying well north of us.

I spotted a male cardinal setting in the bare branches of the red oak tree and thought what a beautiful picture, but then I followed your example and just looked,,,
