14th of January, Thursday

I glanced out the back window this morning, and we had a visitor. There was a small fox licking up bird seed off the porch. I’ve caught glimpses of them before but never so out in the open and right in my face. Kind of a nice way to start the day.

It’s in the 30s again this morning. A bit more foggy than it has been. there’s frost on the shingles of the roof on the north side of the house. And dew on the grass. The prognosticators are for telling of a high in the sixties today. Such as winner on the gulf coast of Texas.

I had the TV on most of the day yesterday watching Congress do its thing impeaching President Trump once more. It’s too bad we weren’t all spared this drama a year ago when the Senate decided not to convict. To all the senators who thought his last impeachment would teach him a lesson, it really didn’t take.

Once again, I see I missed wordless Wednesday. The habit of these blog post everyday is hard to break. Oh well I guess I’ll have to live with it.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for the nation. We only have five more days of the Trump administration to survive. And survive we will. Everyone have a great day.

  1. High excitement over here. I found a robin hopping around the lawn! Apparently some have decided to hang around, or at least they’re still passing through. I’m hoping a few more show up before I have to head off to work.

    1. Back when the woods were still woods behind the house, this time of year was the only time I would see robins… and I would see them by the hundreds as they flocked about the yard picking through leaf litter.
