It’s a frosty, cold morning. As in, there’s frost on the grass. It’s still, no breeze is stirring… which evidently helped the temperature fall. It’s 31 degrees outside, 34 degrees on the porch. Did I say it’s frosty.

A train whistle interrupts the quiet of the house. Train whistles, Carolina wrens, low flying aircraft… about the only sounds to make it into the house.

Oh… and cardinals… when cardinals are cheeping on the back porch they can be heard too.

We’re just a week away from Christmas eve… are you ready?

The starlings are back. Huge clouds of birds flying from tree to tree. Making an ungodly racket when they settle. I haven’t seen flocks like these in a decade… at least not around here.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. Keep wearing your damn masks. Keep socially distancing. Keep washing your hands thoroughly. We can get through to the other side of this…
