It’s a bit on the warm side this morning. And a lite rain is falling. Evidently it’s been falling for awhile. The trees are filled with dozens of small birds.

The muted colors of fall are more evident in the rain. But I’m still waiting for the full blown color in my red oak… but the leaves are falling fast.

The prognosticators are in agreement that after we reach a high of close to 80 degrees today, the temperature will start falling for the next three days. I am sensing low distant rumbles of thunder… almost inaudible. Looking at the radar I can see why…

Today begins the longest weekend of the year. The house goes from a fall/Thanksgiving decor to a Christmas decor in the next three days. The traditions we live with… this is one of my wife’s strongest.

So as my wife sleeps in, I enjoy just a bit of peace and quiet before the house gets turned upside down… birdwatching from my rocking chair.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world.

  1. It finally got here — the rain. We just had a good downpour, and it’s still raining lightly. With luck, we’ll get that four inches they’re predicting. Even the birds sound happy.

    1. So far we haven’t had the heavier stuff, just a lite rain off and on. I just walked out to the road with a bag of garbage and the sun was coming out. Between sun and humidity, I’ll be glad to work indoors today.
