The air has movement this morning. Not a lot, the leaves are swaying, the clouds rush across the patch of blue above my head. Evidently, Hannah, our latest tropical storm, is already announcing her presence. She’s a bit over 230 miles southeast of here and moving our way. Some wind and rain is in our future. My drive to Milam County tomorrow should be interesting.

I did manage to use the one dry day we had yesterday to get my yard mowed. If you add in that either the city or the county mowed the ditch out front, it’s looking pretty good for welcoming the new girl to the neighborhood. Hopefully she won’t overstay her welcome like Harvey did a few years back.

Here’s the radar from just now…

Mixed showers on the far side of Galveston heading west and south. One of my birdwatching feeds was talking about the displaced seabirds that could be pushed inland with this storm. While the prognosticators are saying Hannah will probably strengthen today, they don’t seem to be too worried. If nothing else, it will be an interesting weekend.

Since I’ve been sitting here the sky has clouded up. At the same time, the wind chimes are starting to sing. Almost every bit of blue I was seeing a short time ago has been pushed out of the sky.

I guess I should head in… as much as I might want to watch the incoming weather, I feel the need to see what the Donald has done now to try and keep his core believers bucked up.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for America… we need divine help to survive the coming months.
