Memorial Day

Up early after a night of thunder and lightning.  Two of my kids and all of my grandkids are headed to the hill country for 4 days. A vacation they planned in February and had on hold then changed during the shutdown. I hope they have a good time between rain showers.

The morning is cool and damp. I had my first cup on the front porch after the kids all left.

While sitting out I watched a pair off tree living ducks or ibis. I haven’t been able to identify them yet because most of my sightings have been in low light situations.

I have the news on in the background as I type this. As is usual in this day and time, most of the news is filled with the president’s* favorite fake news. The hoax perpetrated by the world on his presidency.

Let’s keep in mind what today is supposed to be about… memorializing those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us… for our country. Have a memorable Memorial Day.
