Diamonds sparkle on the grass as the sun clears a cloud… then fade to dewdrops as the cloud reclaims the sun.

My crazy kumquat tree is covered with big green fruit again. By the time they ripen they are inedible to me. Way to sour, not enough sweet to balance. Only my eldest son and grandson are able to eat them.

This has been the summer for webworms. They are everywhere. As usual they seem to prefer the pecan trees, but, even my young mulberry has a problem.

Today is garbage day. Let’s hope they don’t return my bin to the ditch like last week. It took most of the week to get someone to come out and dig it out.
