A bright and sunny Thanksgiving Eve morning coffee muses.

We’re entering the red oak watching season… we’re still at least a week out from full fall color. The photo just above is from today. The one that shows at the top of the page on my site is from last December…

When I stepped out to take the photo, there was a mixed flock of birds flitting about on the ground and fruit trees. Most of the flock appeared to be Eastern Bluebirds,. With a few warblers mixed in… probably Yellow-rumps.

And on that note it’s time to start the mad rush toward tomorrow’s Thanksgiving dinner.
