Cold, wet, windy hill country morning coffee muses.

This is a first for us. We are used to being a few miles out of town, up on top of a hill. Which today would be really wintery.  And, no deer out eating as the sun brightens the day.

This little old guesthouse is called “Cowboy Orchard”. A cute little place with a kitchen and a nice bed. In a quiet dead end street a few blocks north of Main Street.

After I climbed into bed last night,  the sky opened up and it poured. Now, it’s just wet and blustery… real deer hunting weather in the deer hunting center of Texas.

40 years ago today, Sherry and I, with our families and a couple of friends, stood in front of the Justice of the Peace and were married. Kind of like the Chinese proverb,  we’ve lived through interesting times together.

I’m sure today I’ll live my own version of a country song… Waiting on a woman… as Sherry goes on a Christmas shopping spree. Me, I’ll be finding somewhere to sit and read.

Well, it’s time to refill the coffee cup so I think I’ll call this muse done…
