Saturday, November Tenth

Low forties, overcast with rain about on radar, hill country morning coffee muses.

We started the day yesterday with a stop at Wildseed Farms, a favorite of ours. While Sherry shopped, I enjoyed the sun breaking through the clouds out by the patio.

It was cool, and windy, but on my protected bench it felt pretty good. After reading for awhile,  I decided to wander into the tasting room and have some coffee.

There was a nice fire burning in the fireplace. The coffee was on the honor system and a quarter a cup. I enjoyed my time while Sherry finished shopping.

After a stop back by the house, we headed to Llano for some of Coopers BBQ. Our lunch was a bit disappointing,  salty and a bit drier than the last time we stopped.

From Llano we drove by Inks Lake. This was our favorite state park when our kids were growing up. We spent many a summer vacation in a screened shelter there on the lake shore.

Every time I drive this way I stop at the pull off above the lake and take some shots.

I love this spot…

Time for another cup of coffee.
