Sunday, October Twenty-first

Blue skies, cool breezes… a beautiful autumn morning coffee muses.

Wind chimes singing, tree leaves falling horizontally across my field of vision. I’m on the front porch to avoid the sun shining in my eyes.

Acorns bounce on the roofs of the cars. The driveway is covered with acorn meal, ground by car tires daily. YellowYellow-orange splotches from road to house.

A distant roar fills the air to the north. It must be the air show over at Ellington field. When we lived in Pasadena, we used to lay out in our backyard and watch jet fighters dive right at us. This was always a wild and loud weekend.

In the sea of green that is my world, a splash of reddish orange makes a splash of color up the road. The holly berries are showing full color.

It’s late and I have to fix breakfast, so I’ll end this now…
