Another hot day with a bit of precipitation in the forecast. All week long showers have dominated the edges of my world. Thunder rumbling in the distance. Rain falling in distant dark curtains. But never more than a mist of a promise here.

The radar shows many small thundershowers scattered around the state. But, even more of the state is dry. Our chances of rainfall today are 40%… or in other words, our chance of no rain is at 60%.

The world is quiet. Just a few cars and trucks on the road. Of course, the white noise machine blowing not so cool air is humming away keeping the noise at bay.
