Wednesday, the ninth of May

It’s still and warm, almost cloudless, blue skies run from horizon to horizon on this morning coffee muses.

The birds sound louder this morning. They probably aren’t.

There’s almost no movement of air, except right under the ceiling fans on this porch.

There’s one problem with owning Subarus, when something happens to one tire they would prefer you replace them all. I compromise by replacing the two opposite each other. Sherry had a blowout on her way home yesterday. She drives daily thru the 288 construction zone and they are stripping the asphalt now. She hit something, she not sure what because she didn’t see anything. By the time she could get to a safe stopping point (no shoulders in the “zone”) the tire was shredded.

After I got to her, changed the tire for her spare, drove home, picked up the grandkids, I managed to get to Discount Tire in Friendswood at 5:30. I stood in line for 15 minutes. Bought my two replacement tires and then waited… 45 minutes later and that same number of minutes past closing, I was on the road towards home.

Well the cup is empty and the morning is warming up so I’m headed in to check the news…
