On Thanksgiving Day I saw an image of my red oak tree from 4 years ago. In that image, the tree had already gone through its entire fall color change.
So I guess this year fall is a little slow in coming…
But, as you can see, the Christmas season has made its appearance in this house at least…
Speaking of fall’s slow coming, I found Indian paintbrush at San Bernard yesterday — along with some friends. Even the tallows were barely starting to change. Now, I need to follow you in getting some decorating changes made.
I noticed back during the hummingbird migration that they were ahead of the morning glory fall bloom. I think most of them had headed south long before bloom. It also seemed like the goldenrod peak was late this year.
