It’s another hot summer’s day that I couldn’t drag myself into the heat for my morning pictures. So here are some from early afternoon… It’s still hot though check out the thermometer on the back porch.

Once many years ago I posted some photographs I took during a thunderstorm about this time of year.. what I remember was one of the commenters who seemed to have a problem with the color balance in my photo because the grass is basically the color you see above.

I mean come on, that’s August grass.. dried out, prickly to walk on, ready to catch fire at the drop of a Coke bottle. The prognosticators keep warning us that we are falling in slow motion and to a drought.

All I can say is try to do what I do and stay as cool as possible.. I’ll catch y’all on the other side… Where I’m sure it’ll be just as hot as it is on the side.
