December Day 25

Merry Christmas

It’s Sunday, December 25th

It’s a busy morning here in Coffee Muses land. So, this post was written and scheduled in advance…

I will say that for only the second or third time in my life… It actually feels like what we always thought Christmas should feel like. I’m just missing that silly white, fluffy stuff on the ground. Of course, if I lived where that silly fluffy stuff was common… I wouldn’t be missing it at all… Would I?

And just because I’m a Texas native, with a bloodline back to the Republic… Here’s some Texas Christmas Music direct from Texas Monthly and the Texanist… Or at the very least, Christmas Songs sang by Texans… Or some Christmas Songs that someone from Texas picked… Truth be told, I don’t have a clue what the criteria was to be included in this list!

Christmases Past

My memories from childhood Christmases via the family Christmas Cards.

  1. I laughed and laughed to see Robert Earl Keen’s “Merry Christmas From the Family” on the list. I like it, but always experience a little Christmas cringe when I hear it. I’m old enough to remember when hard candy in the stocking was a real treat, so “Hard Candy Christmas” ranks right up there. Enjoy the day and the music, Gary. Merry Christmas!
