The twenty-second of September

It’s Thursday

The morning is quieter. Our great migration of hummingbirds has migrated. No more battles royale all day long. Even the Cardinals seem a bit bemused by the absence.

The morning traffic continues to become worse in front of the house. With all of the homes being built and occupied back in the county, I will assume it’s only going to get worse.

The summer has not been kind to my trees. We’ve had three rather large limbs fall from the oaks. Drought and heat followed by heavy rains tend to do this to these old oaks.

A contracted with a tree service to come out and cut them up, chip them up, and do away with all of the fallen limbs. We’ve managed to pile up a goodly collection in the past few years.

Well, the grandkids are headed to school, my first load of laundry is finishing up in the washer, my oatmeal is soaking in boiled water… In other words… my day is well on it’s way… So…

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and say a prayer for our dysfunctional country and the world… I’ll catch y’all on the other side…
