August the nineteenth

It’s Friday

The above radar image is what was happening as the grandkids got on the bus for their second day of school. Between then and now we’ve had 1.25″ of rain. Yesterday afternoon we had 1.6″ and lost power for a couple of hours as the storms moved thru, ALast weekend, after tree days the total was .95″. So, at least for a little while, I’ll be talking less about how dry it is. The grass has actually started growing again and turning green.

The prognosticators are foretelling of even more chances of precipitation in the following week. Hopefully we can say goodbye to the drought without falling into a Harvey type of situation. And I hope to never see the Alvin record rainfall amount of 42″ in 24 hours like they had 50 years ago…

We still have a lot of rain in the area…

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and say a prayer for our dysfunctional country and the world… I’ll catch y’all on the other side…
