Thursday
Happy birthday sis…
Sitting on the front porch, between buses, I am still not used to the view that takes me all the way to the traffic on the bypass. The land clearing has now reached the property lines at the back of the houses and businesses across the street… And as the sun rises, it really catches the sides of the 18 wheelers and reflects them back at me. I don’t think I ever realized just how close I lived to the highway.
I’m listening to the beep beep beep of the warning apparatus on the backs of the big equipment kind of drowns out the bird song. Though I am beginning to hear cicadias talk…
Judging by the initial ground clearing on the new subdivision, phase one will go from the bypass to just past our house. Probably to the drainage ditch on the other side of my neighbors.
Well today is going to be quite busy… I will have to go shopping for a new refrigerator. The one we have seems to be dying and as it’s already 11 years old I don’t think I want to try and resuscitate it. And since the online shopping experience at Best Buy never quite worked last evening… I’ll get to drive to the store today.
