Thursday

The world is blanketed with a thick player of fog this morning. The trees drip .. the air is still… a train whistles in the distance… traffic rumbles on the bypass.

The past 3 days has seen the temperatures rising. Morning start out in the ’70s again… Afternoons or pushing 90°. The prognosticators are fortelling of another weather change this weekend… We can only hope for another taste of fall.

It’s kind of funny… Listening to the world around me, so loud, under the fog. The traffic on the road roars louder than normal. Wet tires on wet road… A train rumbling by on the tracks on the other side of the land they’re clearing for a new subdivision seems much louder than before. Whether it’s the fog holding the sound down on the surface, or just the fact that there’s less vegetation between here and there really doesn’t matter…

Well, I feel a coffee cup calling my name… So, y’all stay safe, they healthy, and pray for this dysfunctional country and the world.

I’ll catch y’all on the other side…
