Friday

Last night about midnight Mother Nature put on another light and sound show. When I woke up this morning a light rain was still falling. And though the temperature was nicely in the mid-seventies, that high humidity was stalking the earth once again…

When I went out this morning I was having issues with my Forrester starting again. So, after the grandkids were gone and my breakfast was done, I drove up to Walmart and had them check the battery… Needless to say the battery was replaced. The cranking power was down to less than 40amps. Makes it really tough to start a car that way.

Tropical Storm Ida is slowly heading towards the Gulf. Another thing to keep an eye on heading into the weekend. So far it appears to be heading into Louisiana or points east. I always feel bad about the fact that someone elses misfortune is a good thing for me and mine. Right now the western edge of the “cone” is on the Texas/Louisiana state line.

Well, the mornings pretty much over, lunch is in about an hour… So, y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for the nation and the world.

  1. I’m feeling fairly confident that Ida’s going to make a pass east of us. Do you follow Space City Weather? Those guys are saying ‘east’ and they’re usually on the money.

    1. Yes, I catch Space City Weather on Facebook. And pretty much everyone right now is pushing Ida east…. The longer we dodge these bullets the more I start to worry. I keep asking myself what was I thinking as I put in all these windows…
