Once again the day starts off with blue skies. Almost cloudless blue skies. It’s warm and it’s humid. But it’s not the summertime slap you in the face, oh my God hot it will be. Here’s the morning read on the weather…

Pretty much par for the course this time of year. Though being below 80 degrees is really kind of nice.

The cicadias are talking this morning. But not much else when I stepped out to snap the photos.

It’s Friday. The Friday before the 4th of July. Last night someone was popping off fireworks already. The night before I heard the mosquito truck making its rounds pouring out its spray trying to make the upcoming fireworks displays livable.

I guess we will be doing hot dogs for the 4th. When I mentioned adding hamburgers to the menu my better half wasn’t of the same mind. I suppose apple pie isn’t something to shoot for either. Just how un-American can I mean you be?

Well, I hope everyone enjoys this birthday weekend. I know I’m going to spend most of it hiding out from the outdoors. So, y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for the nation and the world…
