Friday, 7th of May

Walking out this morning was a surprise. The temperature was 58°,… Unexpected. Skies are clear. The sun is bright. A beautiful spring-like morning.

My wife made the comment yesterday that there were only three more weeks of school. That means another summer with prototeens in the house. It should be interesting… Even if it isn’t quiet.

Once again I find myself at a loss this morning. No muses percolating in my skull. I can’t even say I see any news worth passing on. It’s just the same old same old… Republicans passing laws to limit voting to their voters if possible, passing laws to limit the right to an abortion especially here in Texas, still crying about a stolen election that wasn’t stolen.

So, I guess I’ll just get on with my day… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for the nation in the world.

Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget Sunday is Mother’s Day…

  1. Well. Today is the day I get a leaking bathtub torn out and a new one installed. Oh joy, oh rapture. At least it’s going to be a good day to be outside, and at least I have friends where I can shower — no using the new tub until Sunday. It is good to be in an apartment complex that deals with issues quickly and professionally, without half-measures.

    1. I’m waiting for a yard crew to get to me this weekend. Grass and tress to ne trimmed, weeds to be ate, shrubbery to be cut back… All in all a couple of long days of work… My facilities manager thinks I procrastinated too long…
