5th of April, Monday

There’s a layer of fog hanging in the air this morning. Which means, not a breeze is stirring. The temperature is already above 60°. And, it’ll be heading much higher today.

Sitting out waiting on the school bus, I saw three pairs of whistling ducks flying over. I haven’t yet seen any in our trees, but they’re definitely in the neighborhood this spring.

Already this morning, I seen hummingbirds on the feeders. The blue jay grabbing seed. And the pre sun up bird symphony was quite joyous this morning. Though, the murmur from the rooster factory around the block was in evidence under all of the songs.

The after Easter smorgasbord of ham and cheese sandwiches will start today. It’s funny how it always happens… I’m really not a big fan of him, but I end up eating untold numbers of ham and cheese sandwiches after holidays. Plus, there’s ham salad, and ham and cheese omelets, and… And to think, I bought the smallest spiral cut ham I could find. Oh yeah… Don’t forget the ham bone.

Though, everything said, it was the least hectic, smoothest, most on time family holiday meal we’ve ever had. Of course, a big part of that went to the limited menu…

Well… My coffee cup is headed for empty and it’s time to move on. So y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our nation and our world.

Everybody enjoy this week of spring.
