It’s 69° outside this morning. And the skies are cloudy. Birds are playing. Winds are blowing. What a winter we are having.

I’ve been catching some of the political arguments going on. Can’t say I’m impressed by the strength of the Republican angst. Complaining about someone’s tweets after having to listen to the tweets of Donald Trump for five years seems just a bit contrived. And then there’s the minimum wage argument coming from Republican senators and states that already have minimum wages above $10 an hour… Really guys? You want to maintain a $7 minimum wage when you can’t even hold it that low in your own states for economic reasons. Seems pretty contrived to me.

And now that great statesman Mitch McConnell, has changed his tune to the effect that even though Donald Trump tried to instigate an insurrection, he’ll back him in 2024… if he’s on the ticket. What’s the matter Mitch? Afraid of the trump-eets in Kentucky?

At some point the Republican party will have to move past Trump or else they’ll get lost in the dustbin of history. Very few are clamoring for a return of the Nazis, and those few have been clamoring for decades.

Oh well, enough about politics, I’m going to enjoy my weekend. and I won’t be paying much attention to the political climate in America. it’s easier these days not to have to listen to the frantic tweets, the whinyness of a persecuted toddler in the White House. Although, from what I’ve seen from CPAC, the crazy Republicans are just as crazy as they were last year, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before…

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, pray for our nation and the world… Keep wearing the damn mask and socially distancing… We’re not thru this yet.
