As you can see, yesterday’s fog is back and lower. The world feels smaller, more closely held, layers of gray. The overnight lows are easing back up. It’s warm enough to make the ceiling fans a a luxury I might not need but can enjoy.

The birds are a bit more vocal, even the chickens around the corner. And through it all a train moves on the railroad tracks.

Today is a special day for me. Forty-two years ago, my wife and I stood in front of the Justice of the Peace and said our vows. Forty-two years of love and bickering, parents and parenting, dreams and not quite nightmares… and yes, sickness and health. If nothing else, we’ve lived together long enough to have become accustomed to each other’s foibles. And not that she’ll read it here… Happy Anniversary Sherry, I love you.

So my day today will be spent in the mountains of Tennessee and Kentucky… virtually. Updating old posts, trying to revive old links, bringing a decade old site back up to date. It’s going to be a long haul to get my “hobby” back to were I saw it going ten years or so ago.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. Wear a damn mask… if you didn’t know, it should cover your nose too.

  1. Happy anniversary! Here’s to many more years of happiness (with maybe just a teeny bit of bickering to keep things interesting!).
