Western sky.

It’s really quiet out this morning on the back porch. Seemingly more so because of a lack of need for the ceiling fans. The weather app on my phone says it’s 63 degrees but it doesn’t feel that cool. The sensor on the back porch was reading 67… cool enough to not need the fans in my summer attire.

It’s definitely overcast in the dark sky. There’s a glow off to the west. That’s most likely the parking lot lights at Kroger. When they built the Kroger shortly after we moved out here, we noticed the change in the night sky immediately. Which always seemed strange, because we live just a short ways from the original Walmart store. Walmart never hide as much light pollution as Kroger. Even the new bigger Walmart doesn’t raise a nighttime glow like Kroger.

Well it’s 7am and the eastern sky is finally lightening.

Eastern sky.

There’s a dull roar, a quiet one actually, of traffic on the bypass. There’s enough light now to make out the steady movement of the clouds to the south. A mockingbird is singing in the dark pine.

I think I need to go in and get a cup of coffee. My muse needs some lubricant… Ahhhhhh, better. Being first up this morning, I started the coffee maker, but didn’t wait for it to finish… looks like that’s gonna be my week.

Well that’s the way my morning goes… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. Go Vote. Wear a Mask. Wash your hands.
