A school day, laundry day, early voting day… I’ll be busy today. Since it is a school day, I’m on the back porch before the eastern horizon began to color. It’s cool, but it’s not that cool… so the ceiling fans are on chilling my hair still damp from my morning shower.

Number one granddaughter is up and doing breakfast. After a bit I’ll go in and wake number two grandson. The mockingbird is up and serenading me this morning as the day slowly becomes. Train whistles blow here and there.

The air is dry… no wisps of fog swirling about… and the sounds are not carrying from the bypass as well as they have. So what I’m hearing is mostly the absence of noise.

I was watching YouTube last evening and began to be inundated with a single political ad. It seems that John Cornyn has managed to keep a secret for the last decade. You see he’s protecting our preexisting condition protection from being taken away. The Cornyn secret plan for health care will keep us covered. I find myself wondering if he has a plan, would he mind sharing his plan with the rest of the Republicans who are trying to do away with the law that includes protections that cover preexisting conditions… oh wait, he’s tried to do away with that law too. Maybe he should share his plan with himself first. Worried about your reelection John… I think I would be too. You’ve taken way too many photo ops with Mitch and Donald in the last four years to duck your record now.

Well, the sun is up officially now. Not that there’s much evidence to be seen here. There’s a general cloud cover that’s keeping the eastern horizon a bit subdued today.

My coffee cup is running low, and I need to wake up another grandkid, so… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world… and go vote whenever you can. Don’t let them take your right to cast a ballot away.
