Not too warm for the start of the day. 75 degrees, not bad for the full blown August. But it’s oh so still. Not a breath of a breeze. And quiet… barely a bird singing.
I have to go through the process of setting up a couple of computers today for the new school year. No matter what the politicians say, I can’t see crowded classrooms as being anything other than Covid breeding grounds. And as much as I may enjoy my personal time, I would rather be safe than sorry.
But, if the news tells us anything it’s that social distancing sucks as kids move through the school day. Churning and mixing in different class rooms. Without changing the system and the environment you can’t make schools safe. And you can’t change the system and the environment if you don’t change the politics first.
The second night of the Democrats Convention was just as powerful as the first. Donald Trump and the Republicans must be really starting to worry. Believe me, I will be watching next week to see what kind of a show the “reality star” president*** will put on. I bet it won’t be aspirational, hell it probably won’t be inspirational either. He’s probably going to be complaining about how he’s going to be cheated out of his second term in office.
Time to wander back in… the sun has reached my feet…
