The heat and humidity hit me in the face hard. Not a pleasant morning to enjoy the back porch. So here I sit, inside, on the laptop, checking out the world.
We have a ton of things to do today. Plus another trip to Galveston. So I’ll keep this short…
I presume the flooding’s finally receded in Galveston. I’m going to make a trip down later this afternoon myself, to the west end. I haven’t seen the new bird blind at Stewart Road and Settegast (or maybe 11 mile road — I can’t remember) and it seems like a nice, doable trip for an afternoon.
I only saw a bit of standing water in the outside lanes of Harbourside Road. I would imagine most of the waters on the island have dried up.
