Easterly winds with just enough strength to feel cool on this not so cool morning coffee muses.

It’s another overcast morning on the front porch. A blue jay is calling from the trees. A crow is answering from across the road. The wind chimes are sounding their song with the moving breeze.

The world has reached that place in the turning of the year where a warm shower before sitting outside no longer means that when you go back in you could probably shower once again.

The leaves are beginning to turn. Just not so much right here. Even the goldenrod blooming around my house isn’t as far along as the fields I see out and about.

Watching the leaves of the pecan trees shimmer in the breeze is ever so slightly mesmerizing. The overcast skies shining thru the ever shifting leaves.

The traffic sounds from the Bypass and Highway 6 are easy to here this morning. Nothing obtrusive, just more or less the white noise of the city.

Then there’s the scratching of rodent claws on tree bark as the squirrels fun up, down, and all around thru the trees.

I think I might need a refill… catch you tomorrow.
