Sunday, October Fourteenth

There’s more dew on the ground than there was yesterday, the gulf air is warmer on this Sunday morning coffee muses.

It’s late, but the Sunday traffic is as lite as it usually is. Moving slowly down the road. No one in a hurry to get anywhere.

The sky here on the north side of the house is crystal blue. Even as the young pecan trees out back have been dropping leaves for weeks and look pretty bedraggled,  the big pecans up here in the front are still looking fresh.

The squirrels seem to be enjoying the season. They are playing chase in circles on the ground. And… there are so blessed many of them!

Dragonflies are in full regalia here in the front yard too.

If the prognoticaters are to be believed, the temperature will start falling tonight and continue right into Wednesday morning. Oh, it’ll plateau a couple of times but the general trend will be dropping.

I have a small warbler of some sort playing around the chaste tree. Yellow on the belly, buff on the back. If Merlin is to be believed, and it matches my intuition,  I just saw a pine warbler. I’ve seen them before here.

Well, it’s time to start thinking about breakfast. Catch you tomorrow.
