Tuesday, September Fourth

Another cool, wet start on the front porch, the kids are back in school, my better half is back at work… and the sun hasn’t shown itself yet on this morning coffee muses.

And rain continues to fall… yesterday at sundown sun lit the world for just a few minutes.

The world is full of hummingbirds. They are starting to gather to await their turn to ride a cool front across the Gulf of Mexico.

A person could get used to these cool mornings on the front porch. Sadly, they can’t last. Normality will return. Uncomfortably warm temperatures will once again rule southeast Texas.

The first birds on the front feeder today were the chickadees.

Water standing on the low spots of the driveway are getting to be a daily sight.

Blue jays flocking thru the neighborhood, screaming their calls at each other make me happy they are houses away from me.

I’m hearing crows for the first morning in a long, long time. Their cawing used to be a daily occurrence. I wonder what changed?

I can’t help but wonder when I’ll see the city crews… I’m seeing some breaks in the clouds… Blue sky showing in places…

Well, the cups running dry so I’m headed in to check and seen if the world is still out there… Have a wonderful day!
