Wednesday, August Eighth

It’s hot outside to start this morning coffee muses.

It’s hot enough that I’ll just sit myself down inside. Outside it’s bright and sunny. No breeze moves the still air. It’s perfect grass growing weather. Yesterday we had light rain showers off and on a number of times during the day and evening.

In the news this morning California still burns, the Ohio special election seems to have gone to the Republican by all of 1/100 of a percentage point… that should be worrying Republicans everywhere… then comes the daily barrage of Trump administration conflicts.

We have a twenty percent chance of rain again today. Nothing is showing on radar yet anywhere near. I suppose our chances are more for afternoon showers popping up along the coast. Tomorrow looks to have even higher chances of dropping some rain.

The hummingbirds are being quite rambunctious out today, both front and back. If you check out the picture to the left above you can make out a hummingbird just above the shed streaming across the yard…

Clouds are drifting north now off the Gulf. None are looking threatening, but it’s early. It’s pretty much the summer weather pattern of our place in the world.

Time for a refill… and Rachel Maddow.
