Monday, January the twenty-second

The sun is battling with high clouds and a cool front is dropping the temperatures on the Monday Morning Coffee Muses.

I turned on the fans when I walked out this morning thinking the warmth from overnight was still outside my door… I think I need to turn them off. I also turned the AC on in the house as the inside temperature was already in the upper seventies. I guess I can just open a window and save the electricity. Be back in a moment…

That’s better.

I can’t muse too long, gotta get working on my hot water heater issues. One more trip into the attic to try and restart the heater before I call the plumber and get a house call scheduled.

The high clouds have moved east and the sun is shinning bright again. And birds are singing all around as gusty winds try to strip what few leaves are clinging to limbs here and there. And a black faced vulture soars low over the house as a cardinal adds a splash of red to the wisteria.

Small planes keep crossing the sky. Coming and going, to and from, on business all their owners.

A mockingbird must be feeling spring in this beautiful day. He has launched into his trill filled song moving around the yard. It’s not a sound I normally associate with the dead of winter.

Time to get busy… later.
