Sunday, the twenty first of January

It’s warm, it’s sunny, and the ceiling fans are on and the umbrella is open for my morning coffee muses.

It’s strange, but not unusual, to go from the coldest three weeks I can recall to a beautiful springlike day. The birds sure aren’t complaining. The temperature is already hitting 69° out here.

I woke up to the news that half of the house is without hot water. Let this be a lesson to anyone having a house built, make sure you specify the hot water heaters and don’t leave it up to the builder or his contractor. The control boards on both water heaters have been replaced already. And now it looks like another one is out. I’ll have to weigh the difference in costs carefully, do I replace the unit or do I replace the board?

It’s a nice day to be on the back porch, but breakfast is calling…
