Cold with a dusting of snow for the second morning coffee muses of 2018.

AM snow showers… they weren’t in the forecast yesterday. From the look of it, it’s more sleet than snow. But, if it has to be this cold anyway… sleety snow beats cold rain. Not much chance of any real accumulation, radar doesn’t show that much out there. Just small patches of blue moving across the coastal area south of Houston. And, with the temperature at 29° out what falls will stay on elevated objects.

The new year brings lots of surprises… I had just sat down to my New Year’s dinner of black eyed peas, collards, and cornbread when the shout when up that there were cows in the back yard…

I thought we were through with this last year. We spent the rest of the day and into the evening trying, with very little success, to keep them away from the house. Not exactly how I expected to spend New Year’s day.

Short post this morning, I need to thaw my fingers…
