It’s early afternoon and I have discovered that seeing a solid field of bright white on the ground outside my windows is a strangely unnerving sight. It’s contrary to anything I’ve really experienced. I’ve never lived somewhere where snow was common, And the few snows of this magnitude that I’ve been in have happened in places I wasn’t intuitively in tune with.
The major difference between this snow and “the miracle” in 2004 is that the roads are still covered a bit even with the traffic that has going by. Of course the temperatures are probably responsible for that…
A few choice images…
And now it’s melting away. More freezing tonight, to make driving risky or impossible, but maybe back to normal tomorrow afternoon. What a fun interlude!
It looks like the majority of what is in my yard will still be there tomorrow.
