I can’t recall whether this confluence of events has happened in the past or not. But having a week of spring break for the grandkids follow immediately after the spring time change is a bit strange… To be waking up without an alarm and 2 hours after my normal wake up and still be able to step outside before the sun comes up seems strange…
As the images show.. spring has definitely arrived. The pastures are filled with yellow flowers.. The blue bonnets on the underpass are blooming.. the drainage ditch across the road is lined with Indian paintbrushes. The only trees not showing new leaves at this time appeared to be the pecans… And that’s normal.
In the past, at this point in an election year, I would be coming on the antics in the political sphere. But I find that this year that raises my anxiety level higher than I wish it to be.. so at least for now, I think I’ll listen to my grandmother’s sage advice… If I can’t say something nice about someone.. I’ll just say nothing at all… But, I will say a prayer for our democracy!
