It’s glowing outside the windows. The fog is so thick that it is almost impossible to see the tree lines. Even the trees directly behind the house are obscured.

I’ve never quite understood why my photos taken in fog never really show the fog as it appears in my eyes.

For the record, it’s 44° out right now.

We appear to be riding the winter roller coaster… Today’s high we’ll hit 62°. Tomorrow’s high will hit 73°. Tuesday high will hit only 57°. But by Thursday it will be 73° again. Such as life on the southeast Texas coast.

And so we end the first week of 2024.
