Well… Paul seems to have wandered its way back north. Morning lows are closing back in on 80°.

Yesterday I received an email from Wikitree like I do once a week .. and this week’s featured connections were all James’s..

Glancing through the list I saw that I was 10 degrees of separation from Jesse James. That little fact really intrigued me as my father used to tell the story of how his family claimed to be related to Jesse James.

Now the funny thing about this connection to Jessie James is that it isn’t through my father. The kinship connection is through my mother. And the really crazy part of all this is that I have a closer kinship relationship to Jesse James that I would have ever thought. According to WikiTree, Jesse and I are third cousins just separated by three generations. Crazy, huh?

And on that note, I’ll just say.. Y’all stay cool and I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
